When Milledge and Joanne Peterson were relocated for the second time in as many years by the large companies they worked for, they began to realize that a life lived among the cubicles was not for them. On a visit back home to Augusta, the burgeoning gardeners heard that Bedford might be for sale. They leveraged everything they had, bought the place, and haven't had an ounce of regret. Together with the staff of Bedford, their mission is to take friends, family and strangers, turn them into gardeners, and, in doing so, improve their quality of life.
